1)My Dad settled the bankruptcy order with the Bank.

2) It's Science Centre Singapore's annual D&D tomorrow. it's SOOOOO Exciting.
just yesterday, Charissa, Claire, SynYin and I went to the "NO.1 COSTUME SHOP" to find the perfect costume to wear tomorrow. We ended having TONNES of fun but no costumes. it's effing expensive. OMG.

3) i'm starting school this sat!!! YES! my very first lecture.
i can't wait to start school. i've been anticipating it for months now.
somehow i'm rather scared that i have lost my momentum to study. hopefully it'll come naturally.

4) Celebrated Jeremiah's birthday over the weekend. he rented a chalet.
HA. CHUA JUN JIE!!! YOU'RE OLD ALREADY! and you still owe me money!!!!

5) Have yet another birthday celebration for RACHEL CHIAM this sat after my lecture! FINaLLLY WOMan!! you're turning 20 toooo!!!!!!!!

6) Busy Busy time at work.

Starting school on the 21st of November. Biological Organic Chemistry.

hopefully i would still have my life when i start working and studying at the same time.

Reality dawned upon me today.

I thought i had a bad day at work today when i found out that Admiralty Sec Students took 6 [*exact number not known*]labcoats from my lab.

My day took the turn for the WORSE when i got home.

I did my usual; turned my desktop on, watched movies, go onto facebook.
Then my mum came in, asking me to call my dad telling him that he's just been served with a bankrupt order and they are going to mortgage the house in 3 weeks if he doesn't pay up.


FUCK.

All the possibilities came into my mind as i was calling my dad.
Where were we going to stay? What's going to happen to all my stuff? What's going to happen with ALL of our stuff?
If my family is going to squeeze into a measly apartment, i do sure hope that it would be like our current place now. Maybe just a little smaller.
I can't imagine splitting from my family to go stay at various relatives place.

I'll be praying real hard that moving would not be the solution to this drama.
My life has too much drama as it seems.
I wish that for ONCE in my life, things would just be normal.
Normal day at work. Normal life with my family. Meeting normal people.

Just Normal.

Growing up wasn't easy. But i'm glad that i made it this far.
Whenever problems arise, it knocks me in the head, telling me that my life ain't a fairytale. My life isn't like my friends'. But we can't compare right? Every family is different. Therefore, I use means like watching movies and dramas to escape this cruel reality, leaving me with comfort that there is a little hope for good things to happen.

I LOVE OCTOBER!.
although it's a month with hardly ANY holidays, but it's a comfort to know that the year would be coming to an end in just 3 more months!
Christmas ... New Year ... CNY ... then my 21st birthday.

i guess i'm gonna throw a party to celebrate the big TWO-ONE.
URGH. i sure do hope that caryn and nikki would still be in singapore when i do so.
life's boring without them.

i just learnt that my grandfather's neighbour's daughter, who is the same age as i, is going to australia to study as of next year.
the last time we talked to her, she was saying that she's gonna apply to a local uni to study *i-dunno-what-degree* and major in korean.
RIGHT~~

so i guess her application didn't go through?

apparently, she did her diploma in biotechnology over at RP. i guess she didn't want to continue in that line.

it's so funny when i think back of our past together growing up.
it has ALWAYS been a compeitition whether who had the longest hair, who had the most barbie doll clothes, who could play better piano, who scored higher in PSLE, O levels ... etc.

and best part is ... i always win her.
i always had the nicest hair, the nicest barbie doll clothes, play better music than her and obviously, smarter than her.
you could always sense the tension between my mum and her mum when they start talking about our achievements.

PSLE -> she lost to me by like 2 points. disappointing for her.

O levels -> my mum was bragging to her mum saying that i'm putting biotech in np and sp as my 1st and 2nd choice respectively and she went ahead to apply biotech as well... AT RP.

Now, my mum loves to brag to her friends about how good a daughter i am .. saying that it's good that i have the intention of working full time and studying part time at the same time.

who would have thought that i would end up in this situation?

i never wanted to work and study at the same time.
initially i was so against the idea that i quarrelled with my mum about it. ALOT.
i guess i'm a sucker for my family. i needed to help out with the financial burden my mum has been carrying for years now. at least i can help out albeit in a way.

but i feel really bad. i bought my blackberry without my mum's knowledge.
i guess i'll let her know after my next pay day. i can't continue lying to her.
anyway. my previous phone was and still is crap. and my mum knows that.

well ... on a light note...

i'm going to the zoo and night safari tmr~!!
i manage to get the ASA card from science centre and i thought i make full use of it.
the halloween horror is back for the month of oct!!! and i'm going with the friends from the zoo.
since i have the whole day off, i might as well make the card useful and go to the zoo as well. =)

i've got myself a brand new PC and on top of that, my brother helped me reformat my laptop. which means i have 1 desktop and 1 PC.
although the laptop is like CRAP now.
at least i can use it when i start school *if needed*.

Looks like i have to postpone the purchase of my Blackberry Bold till further notice.
My Older Brother has so kindly offered to get me my Desktop today and i'm SO excited! My Own PC without having to borrow the laptop from my mum or my younger brother ever again!

It's monday and the Science Centre is closed. And to make it an even more quiet day, most of my colleagues are on leave today. LOL.
